Most of you have been following this case and know of the grave injustice these two East Texas guys have experience, first at the site with a Army Corps Ranger trying to make a name for himself and his threats to our two guys; then the unbelievable actions that took place in the Federal Court room as these guys were being tried for a crime the prosecutor could not prove. The end result was that both Bob and Ed were found guilt by the 12 person jury because they had court appointed attorneys that never provide a defense for our guys. The prosecutor had a "field day" on this case. So now our guys are going to appeal the case in New Orleans and hire a real attorney to defend them. Already the Public Lands for the People that do the leg work for many attorneys nationwide, have look through the transcript of this trial and have found a number of important issues for an appeal for our guys. But they need your help! Several of the manufacturers, distributors and a lot of folks have already support these two detectorist financially and we would like to offer you the same chance to do so. They must raise $12, 500 for their defense and we are not there yet. We ask you to please consider donating to this very worthy cause, if for no other reason than the precedent this case will set nationwide if not appealed and left on the books as is. It will set a precedent of any item found, whether 100 years of age or not...can be considered archeologically significant if found anywhere close to a known archeological site, even well outside the boundaries of the archeological site and it's government surveys. In short, the government from this point on, would not have the responsibility to prove where the boundary is for any known archeological site in order to prosecute you for "theft" or "Intent Of".
